About me
With over 18 years of Customer Service experience in Banking and Aviation and over 8 years of Training experience, I am exhilarated to have become the Product of my Passion.
From being Cabin crew to an Aviation Trainer (for an International Airline) to becoming an Image Consultant, I pride myself in having successfully fulfilled roles that led me to pursue my desire for enhancing others through Image Management and Soft skills training.
Having trained multinational cabin crew, corporates and individuals, personal growth and development of people continue to be my Life’s purpose.
I strongly believe in ‘Less is More’, hence ‘Minimalism’ becomes the nuts and bolts of my Consulting and Training sessions. That spans from the Wardrobe choices we make (What we wear and How we wear), going all the way up to the Heart (Our emotions) ! Ridding our Closets of unnecessary clutter and our Hearts of unnecessary feelings and emotions hence becomes imperative.
“There is no such thing as a Perfect Body, there is only a Happy and an Uninhibited Self, wrapped in your Body, Perfected with Acceptance”
People decide who you are before you say a word.
Before your pitch, before your resume, before the handshake is even over — someone has already decided how much weight to give you. Presence isn’t something you’re born with. It’s a set of decisions, and every one of them can be learned.
I’ve spent my career on both sides of that moment — as the person being read, and as the person who trains others to be read well.
Where this comes from
I trained cabin crew at Emirates, one of the most scrutinized service brands in the world, where a rushed tone or the wrong word can cost a five-star review. I’ve also headed country operations for a luxury retail business, a role where decisions never stayed theoretical — they landed on real people, real timelines, real money. That’s where composure and clarity stopped being soft skills. Under pressure, they were the job.
Leading at that level and building a practice of my own taught me these are the same skill applied twice: once as a leader making the call, once as the person training others to make it well.
Why I built my own practice
I started Kamaljit Gill Image Consultancy in 2017, because I kept seeing the same problem: capable people held back not by what they knew, but by how they came across before anyone gave them the chance to prove it. That gap doesn’t close with confidence pep talks. It closes with training — the same rigor I brought to airline standards and to running operations, applied full time to how individuals and leaders present themselves.
Building this on my own means every program comes from what actually works in a boardroom, not recycled theory. I work through the uncomfortable parts with clients — how they sound under pressure, how they walk into a room they don’t feel ready for — because that’s where change actually happens.
What I work on with clients:
Executive presence — how you hold a room before you speak in it
Leadership communication — saying hard things clearly, without losing people
Personal brand credibility — how your reputation travels when you’re not in the room
Professional image — an appearance that backs up your authority, not one that undercuts it
None of this is about becoming someone else. It’s about closing the gap between how capable you are and how capable you look, sound, and read the moment someone meets you.
If you’re good at what you do and tired of being underestimated before you’ve finished a sentence, that’s exactly where we start.
